The 15th Annual Riverhead Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival is coming up on Sunday, May 30th (Rain Date: Monday, May 30th). Noon to 5 p.m. Free Admission! A day-long celebration of the arts featuring a street painting festival where artists show their talents by creating chalk images on the street, an art form that dates back to the 16th Century!

Street painting squares are available for purchase on the day of the event for $20, which includes materials. The Community Mosaic takes place in downtown Riverhead on East Main Street between Roanoke Avenue and East Avenue and on the grounds of the East End Arts Council. This event is produced and presented by the East End Arts Council, with the support of the New York State Council on the Arts, the Riverhead BID Management Association, the Knapp/Swezey Foundation, the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County National Bank, Riverhead Free Library, Ivy Acres, Apple Honda and Astoria Federal Savings.
